I've been bucked off schedule several days. First, I spent the entire blizzard weekend at my day job. Above is a snapshot from my brief drive from the office to a hotel on Saturday evening. And second, I finally returned home last night to one child with a stomach flu and another cutting (what seems like) all of her molars and canines at the same time. While I'm trying to get back in the painting groove, here's a recent page from my gouache sketchbook.
I am new to painting with gouache and sort of feeling my way around a new medium without any real expectations. I stumbled upon these paints at the thrift store: about $100 in art supplies in a bag for $8. I didn't really know what I was looking at but guessed that each tube was probably at least $8. It was my best deal of 2015!
