December 2017 newsletter

News from Barb Mowery Fine Art

This newsletter will be a short one--you can scan through quickly & get back to your eggnog. Read on…

Yes, YOU!

Thank you to my wonderfully supportive collectors, my newsletter subscribers, my social media followers, my gallery crew, my tireless cheerleaders, my artist friends, and my dear family. My heart is full. Thank. You.

I sincerely hope you are surrounded by love this season, and I wish you great happiness in the New Year!

Love,
Barb

Online Shopping

My dad did most of his gift shopping on Christmas Eve. Maybe it was the thrill of the hunt, the rush of adrenaline? If that’s your style, too, my e-gift certificates are available through 10pm EST on Christmas Eve. And then I really need to go to bed. It’s a fun new design, too.

My Etsy shop will remain open, but I will not be shipping from Dec 25-Jan 1. If you purchase a painting while I am enjoying time off with my family, then you will have it shipped promptly on Jan 2nd.

Brick & Mortar

Many of my tree paintings are at the Bishop's Stock Studio Sweep Sale through the end of Jan. These pieces are mostly unframed, and marked down by 33%. This week the gallery will be open through Sat.

If you would like my newsletter conveniently delivered right to your inbox each month, subscribe here. When you sign up, I will send you a free, printable coloring page as a little thank you!

I made this free coloring page just for you!

Take a few minutes to relax this weekend with a coloring page. Free to download & print.  Read on…

Coloring page image of a house with flowers made by Barb Mowery for Bishop's Stock Gallery.

This year I have been busy painting my neighborhood. So I made a picture of my house for you to color. Fun for ages 2 (pictured above) to 102!

This is a FREE downloadable coloring page.

And I challenge you to also draw a picture of the place you call home. I would love to see your coloring, and I can't wait to see the drawing you made of your home. Please feel free to post images on my Facebook page (Barb Mowery Art) or tag your pictures in Instagram (#CloseToHomeArt).

Have a great weekend!
Barb

More color-by-number fun

Theresa B. (above)  and Jenny B. (below) sent in finished coloring sheets. I'm really fascinated by how the colors they chose for #1, the sky, completely changed the mood of the picture. Theresa's yellow sky has a warm, sunrise feeling to me or maybe a fall day. While Jenny's green sky and shadowy treetops have an air of foreboding, like a storm is on the way. It's cool to see them side-by-side here, especially since these pictures were made by mother and daughter. :)

Give it a try yourself: download and print a copy for free here. Send me your finished artwork, and I will share it here and on my Facebook page.

Lovely fall foliage

Jennifer B. wins the prize for being the first person to send me her finished color-by-number. I think she had some downtime at work. I love that you chose fall colors, Jen. And the yellow sky and golden highlights on the tree trunk make it look like a blazing sunset. Just beautiful!

If you haven't already, you can download yours for free here. Send me your finished project, and I will share it here and on my Facebook page.

Pro tip from Susan J.: she likes to print out her coloring pages on nice thick cardstock, and then she can use her collection of fancy markers or even watercolor paints to work on the project. Great idea!
