This one is my second painting of the day. I crashed and burned an Asiatic lily first...guess I needed to get warmed up.
It only took 4 days to break out my favorite thrift store vase and my dad's favorite flowers (carnations). Getting to the heart of what I love always yields better work. Like Hensche said, "What comes from the heart, goes to the heart."
