My friend Maureen drew me into the 7 Day Black and White Challenge. It's going around on Facebook and Instagram right now. You post a black and white photo of your life each day for a week without any people pictured or explanations. And each day you invite another friend to participate.

These are my 7 photos. I definitely bring a painter's sensibility to my camera. My favorite of the week is the stack of pillows. But my dog holds a special place in my heart--I wanted it to look like she was a calligraphic character floating on the page. Ack, no explanations! Sorry, sorry. Sheesh, it's way harder for me to shut up than it is to take pics.
